If Carlsberg made florists

It’s been a while since I blogged, partly as I’ve had my *other* hat on, and partly as I only ever blog when I have something to say, or moreover when I have something to say that I believe may be of interest or indeed of use to others.

So today’s blog was prompted by an email exchange between Neale and a recent client who were waxing lyrical about a fellow wedding supplier.

Now both Neale and I have known this ‘lady’ (narrows down the potential Guess Who candidates by 50%) for the best part of 10 years, as we were introduced by a mutual friend before our own wedding nuptials. “She’s fabulous, will completely ‘get’ what you want, and will translate your visions into reality”. And do you know what? She did that, and then some, and over the last decade we’ve seen her do the same incredible job over, and over, again.

She’s one of the many wedding suppliers Neale meets week in, week out, in his role as a documentary wedding photographer, who’s work is more than a job, more than a 9-5, a career or a paycheque. It’s a ‘see something in a magazine, rip out the page, pop it in the post to a client with a post-it-note of “saw this and thought of you – what do you think?”‘ kind of devotion to a vocation that makes her, in my eyes at least, a real gem.

As a recommended supplier at one of our favourite wedding venues in Berkshire, Wasing Park, this florist (it’s moved from ‘Guess Who’ to a ‘Sports Personality of the Year lifetime achievement award’) continually surprises me with her ‘flaars’, her ideas, her imagination, her willingness to teach and share her thoughts, and her unerring ability to make a brides’ (or grooms’!) floral vision blossom into life.

So if you’re looking for a wedding florist in Berkshire who ‘gets you’ and then adds a rather large sprinkle of stylish, unique, floral inspiration, look no further than Lindsey at The White Horse Flower Company. Exquisite flowers, beautifully arranged.
