I think one of the defining reasons for the success of Rivervale Barn has to be the unswerving and continual engagement of the owners, John and Moyra Ilsley. It’s unusual to find owners look beyond the business with such genuine and truly passionate interest in what makes the place tick; people.
Set on the banks of the River Blackwater in Yateley, Rivervale Barn is a stunning Hampshire wedding venue licensed for civil wedding ceremonies. At first glance the architecture invites you to believe there is a maturity that has seen many decades of receptions at this address. The truth that it’s a reasonably young purpose built wedding venue comes as a surprise to those in the industry who have witnessed it’s astonishingly brisk rise to success and notoriety.
Only an hour’s drive from London, this contemporary green oak barn was designed and constructed specifically for weddings, with careful consideration to its historical setting at Mill Farm.
Beautiful arched oak doors provide your entrance in to the Ceremony Barn, with its breathtaking cathedral-style windows giving your wedding photographer glorious natural light in which to photograph your wedding ceremony. Following the ceremony, the spacious Mediterranean courtyard is the perfect setting for a drinks reception.
The mature landscaped gardens have been lovingly nurtured for many years and include a lake with sunken patio area, four-tiered waterfall and sweeping lawns. With an array of foliage and flowers, the gardens change from season to season with colour and texture all year round.
