The colour of contentment | Wasing Park

WEDDING 365 SERIES #208

I’ve traveled a road reasonably well trod by retouchers in the wedding fold; that of blue hue, green hue, antique, muddy, cross processed etc et al and my circle has brought me back to square one; big rich deep real colour, when of course, it’s not monochrome. That isn’t to say you won’t find the occasional dab of a colour tinkered unnaturally, it’s still good to experiment, but as the industry takes a turn for unusual hues, I think I’ve arrived at a conclusion; real is the new, ummm, real. Here’s a simple image from a couple of weeks ago. For sure the addition that a deep vignette draws could be judged unnatural, but I believe it’s drawing the eye into this photograph; a portrait of a bride, content, peaceful, at rest with her day and her lot.
