FEES | WHY INVEST IN A PROFESSIONAL?
The thought of handing the task of documenting this one day to an enthusiastic mate could seem like a cost effective solution. I can add up, but I’m certainly no accountant, as friends are not full time wedding photographers or album designers. It’s an exceptional responsibility producing a family heirloom. This really is the single item that serves as a lifelong tribute to your day, long after the final drop of champagne has been sipped.
My advice as you may expect, is to source an experienced wedding photographer, presenting this as their main line of business. Read their words, digest their blogs. Non specialist photographers find album deadlines and quality control much harder when trying to spin so many plates. If you’re a wedding photographer you envelope yourself in all things nuptial; it’s your artistic driving force. I do take on a very limited number of portrait commissions each year, and usually during quieter periods when the wedding industry is somewhat quieter. Therefore principally this website is unashamedly dedicated to wedding photography, for good reason.
You’ll find I write in the first person, because the photography you see and what you read is an extension of my personality and how I actually feel about weddings.
My wedding service includes:
1. A pre-wedding consultation. This is an important relationship building exercise and an opportunity to meet prior to the big day to plan any group portraits you would like.
2. Comprehensive documentary and portrait coverage of your day.
3. A documentary style wedding day book. I’m also a Queensberry of New Zealand official partner photographer, Jorgensen album designer and provide a design service for Italian Graphistudio wedding books. These are three of the World’s leading wedding album producers.
4. All retouched full resolution digital files from the day on a disc with lifetime release for printing.
5. Website. A preview site to showcase the day to your friends and family.
A £200 booking fee secures your wedding date. Bookings are currently being secured for 2012 and early 2013.
Additional pricing information is provided upon availability of a requested calendar date.
